Tesla chief gets £15m fine and power cut for misleading investors



CONTROVERSIAL billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has been fined more than £15million and forced to quit as chairman of electric car giant Tesla for misleading investors. The action was taken by the US Securities and Exchange Commission following the South Africanborn inventor’s claim on Twitter in August that he was considering taking Tesla private at $420 a share and had secured funding.

Coronavirus: Police admit second wrongful conviction under new laws during lockdown

Police have admitted a second wrongful conviction under new coronavirus laws, as several cases are reviewed. The 21-year-old man was arrested outside a leisure centre in Tooting, south-west London, on 28 March. He was charged with violating schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act 2020, which only applies to "potentially infectious persons" and was intended to support quarantine measures.
